Zero Excess (0 Excess) Car Rental in Cyprus

0 Excess · No Deposit · No Hidden Extras

Zero Excess (also written 0 Excess) is optional cover that reduces your insurance excess — the amount you would pay towards a damage claim — to zero.

What is insurance excess?

The excess (also called deductible) is the maximum amount you contribute towards repair costs if the rental car is damaged during your trip. Comprehensive insurance is always included in a Come2Cyprus rental — the excess is simply the share of a claim that remains with you under standard cover.

Standard Excess vs 0 Excess

A standard Come2Cyprus rental carries a category-dependent insurance excess. The optional Zero Excess (0 Excess) cover reduces that excess to zero for a small daily premium:

  • Base daily rate €69 or below — 7 €/day Zero Excess premium
  • Base daily rate €70 or above — 10 €/day Zero Excess premium

These are the same rates the Rate Calculator applies — one shared source of truth, shown in your total before you book.

No deposit

Come2Cyprus car rentals come with NO DEPOSIT for eligible drivers — there is no large card hold blocking your holiday budget. You simply pay when you collect the keys.

What is included?

  • Unlimited kilometres — no mileage charge
  • Free second driver
  • Comprehensive insurance included
  • 24/7 local assistance
  • Free airport pick-up and return at Paphos and Larnaca airports
  • Full VAT invoice provided
  • North Cyprus permitted
  • Fair 24-hour billing + 2-hour free grace period
  • No hidden extras

Zero Excess vs Deposit vs Insurance Excess

These three terms describe different things. The deposit (or card hold) is money temporarily blocked as security at pick-up. The insurance excess is your maximum contribution towards a damage claim. Zero Excess (0 Excess) is optional daily cover that reduces that excess to zero — it is not a deposit, and it is not the insurance itself. Comprehensive insurance is included either way.
