What this actually means
This is not the narrow promise that you can send an enquiry without typing card details. It is about the rental itself: renting a car from Come2Cyprus does not require you to own or present a credit card, a debit card or any other bank card as a rental or security condition.
You do not need a card in the main driver's name, you do not need a card with a spare limit on it, and you do not need to leave card data with us as security.
No card hold, no pre-authorisation
Car hire processes often use a card pre-authorisation — an amount blocked on your card as security, invisible in your balance but unusable until it is released. It is the single most common surprise at a rental desk.
Come2Cyprus does not require a card hold. Nothing is blocked, nothing is pre-authorised, and nothing has to be released back to you later.
Credit card, debit card, bank card
All three are treated the same way here: none of them is required as rental security. Drivers who travel with no card at all, with a card they prefer not to expose, or with a card that has no available limit are all able to rent normally.
Your driving licence, your booking details and your agreement with us are what the rental is based on.
How paying for the rental works
Paying for a rental and using a card as security are two separate things, and only the second one is what we have removed.
The rental itself is paid with the methods we currently support, at pick-up:
- Cash
- Revolut
- Wise
- Bank transfer
- Pay when you collect the car
The deposit is a separate question
"No card" does not automatically mean "no deposit at every age". Eligible drivers aged 24 and over rent with zero deposit; accepted drivers aged 20–23 can have a category deposit depending on their licence history.
Even in that case the answer to the card question is unchanged: no card, no hold, no pre-authorisation. The deposit rule is set out in full on its own page.
One clean price instead of a card-and-extras structure
Card security usually comes bundled with a pricing style we do not use: a low headline rate, then insurance, kilometres, a second driver and equipment added one by one.
Here there is one standard rental price per category and period, with the normal benefits already inside it. Nothing needs to be unlocked with a card and nothing compulsory is waiting at the counter. Season and duration rates are published, so your cost is knowable in advance.
